Ecumenical Lenten Suppers and Worship
Again in 2010, Lake Edge will be joining with our sisters and brothers in other east side Christian churches to share meals and worship during the season of Lent. On Each Wednesday evening, a simple supper of soup and bread will be shared at 6:00 pm, with worship to follow at 7:00 pm. The schedule is the same, even though the location
will change with each week. This is a wonderful way to meet other folks, to worship in other churches, and to involve yourself in a Lenten discipline of worship and prayer. Here is the schedule:
Ash Wednesday, February 17 - Worship at individual churches: Lake Edge worship is at 7 pm
February 24 – AT Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 5101 Schofield Street, Monona (sermon given by Lake Edge)
March 3– Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ, 2401 Atwood Avenue, Madison
March 10 – St. Dennis Roman Catholic Church, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison
March 17– St. Luke’s Episcopal, 4011 Major Avenue, Madison
March 24 – Monona United Methodist Church, 606 Nichols Road, Monona
Maundy Thursday, April 1 Worship at individual churches: Lake Edge worship is at 7 pm
Good Friday, April 2 – 1:00 pm Lake Edge United Church of Christ, 4200 Buckeye Road, Madison (no meal on Good Friday)
