Identity and Evangelism Team

17We are the marketing team for Lake Edge. We do identity building (internal marketing) to build Lake Edgers' commitment to and participation in Lake Edge and their faith, and we do evangelism (external marketing) to attract new people to Lake Edge. You'll probably hear people call us I&E.

This team designed the signature pitcher image and Worship Grow Serve campaign and manages Lake Edge's advertising. Recent/current projects include: starting the new Outdoor Sports Ministry (a program we identified as something that would appeal to our target audiences), creating and selling Lake Edge jewelry, helping with the Celebration of Lay Ministry special event, interviewing recently joined members about their new member experience and collaborating with Deacons to redesign the new member class and other programs for new members, spiffing up the narthex and back entry to make better first impressions, improving signage around the church, collaborating with the website team, starting and maintaining a Facebook page, starting and maintaining our Google AdWords internet-search-based advertising, and helping with Lake Edge's participation in the Monona Memorial Day parade.

We would love to have your help! We need a mix of longtime members and new members (new members have a lot more insight into how to make Lake Edge more appealing to new people), a mix of creative idea people and getting-every-day-work-done people, and a mix of people with marketing-related skills (advertising, writing, graphic arts, event planning) and ordinary people who can tell us how ordinary people might react to our ideas. We meet at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month in Room 104. We also do a lot of work via e-mail and phone. Members join on a volunteer basis, and we report to the Cabinet.
