Restructuring Team
Lake Edge's bylaws have become very outdated and this team is working on an exciting project to create a new organizational structure, bylaws and constitution that will better serve our current needs. With that in mind, the congregation elected officers as usual in May of 2010 but elected everyone to a one-year term instead of the usual three-year term, since we don't know yet what positions will exist under the new organizational structure! The plan is to have the new structure ready to go in time to elect officers at the May 2011 congregational meeting. Lake Edge will then live with the new structure for one year, working the bugs out, and will have the final version ready for formal congregational approval in May of 2012. The team has two hour meetings about every other week. They are committed to thinking outside the box to create a structure that will be efficient, collaborative, flexible and open to the Spirit.
