Social Action Team & Board of Christian Outreach (BOCO)

Lake Edge's Social Action Team advocates for Lake Edge projects that help people in need and improve people’s economic situation, advocates for social and economic justice , publicizes and supports UCC wider church offerings and Church World Service projects and provides education programs for the congregation. It asks the congregation to look beyond the walls of Lake Edge.

Our focus is to:

• Publicize and coordinate outreach activities
• Publicize and mobilize support for the five UCC Missions
• Speak and act on both UCC and local social justice issues through education, information, public witness and public policy advocacy
• Allocation of funds to groups and ministries that are working toward the same goals
• Support Lake Edge congregation in its efforts to implement the economic covenant
• Coordinate and support outreach action teams
