Weekend School Nutrition Programs

From late September through the end of May, several East Madison Seeds of Peace churches gather together to shop, assemble, and pack weekend food bags for Frank Allis, Schenk, and Nuestro Mundo Elementary students whose families are facing food insecurity. The churches partner with local grocery stores, teachers, counselors, and staff members at the schools to support a comprehensive effort to build community and increase learning for all our children, no matter who they are or where they are on from. Together, we are the church!

Allis Weekend Nutrition Program

Members and friends from Lake Edge UCC and Zion Faith Community gather at Lake Edge at 6:00 pm on Fridays from September through May to pack the bags, which are delivered to the students the following Friday afternoon.
